Here’s my little friend, the Ginger Resistor!
I was supposed to write this article a few years ago when I came up with this funky little character whilst playing with pens. He ended up archived with a whole bunch of other doodles, but this evening he waved at me from the thumbnail viewer as I searched for a cute PNG!
I did a number of drawings of him at the time, getting into a real flow of making him do lots of silly things (that’s the cool thing about drawing!!). He also embodies a lot of my traits (although I don’t smell or taste of gingerbread, sadly…..!).
So, without further ado, I present Ginger Resistor… and yes, those are resistors in his hair, not capacitors

GR is a BPM Practitioner by day – yeah, even cartoons get to experience a “day job” – and he loves to swim after work at the local pool, metaphorically swimming against the corporate flow of “Resistance Is Futile” and pressing his own buttons.
He’s a superb chipboarder too. Give him any logic gate to traverse and he’ll be there in nanoseconds!
I think I fell in love him when he shared his last cupcake with me…
And here’s how GR came to be with us in soulful gingerbread love! I’m not sure the comic strip makes too much sense, but hey, that’s the beauty of pleasing oneself when you create stuff
